Exceed Post-Conference Expectations

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the 36th edition of Short & Sweet, a weekly newsletter where I provide brief tips for attorneys to build their brand and book of business, on and off of LinkedIn. Read until the end to see my LinkedIn tip of the week.

There are always expectations of attorneys after they return from a conference. Are you going to be ready to meet them after conferences this season?

Expectations can range from:

  • Making your experience sound productive to colleagues back at the office.

  • Following up with the people you met at the conference.

  • Generating enough work to justify the thousands of dollars invested in the conference.

  • Justifying attendance at another conference based on your experience at this one.

  • Developing opportunities from the conference like future speaking roles and collaborations.

Prepping before, during, and after for these inevitable benchmarks is a game changer.

If you’re registered for a conference this fall, you can work 1:1 with me - as part of my Own the Conference prep program - to make sure these expectations are met or exceeded.

The program consists of 2 private sessions before the conference and 1 after the conference, access to me during the conference, and a framework you can take with you to future conferences.

We’ll work on:

  • Identifying and engaging with your ideal clients and referral partners.

  • Strategies that take into account your personal networking preferences.

  • Prioritizing your schedule to make it manageable and productive.

  • Navigating scheduled and impromptu meetings.

  • Creating memorable pre-conference messaging and post-conference follow-ups.

  • Staying on track with follow ups.

So you can make sure your experience builds your practice and sets you up for success at the next conference.

There are only five spots remaining this fall.

Warmest Regards and see you next week,

Jamie

LinkedIn Tip of The Week:

LinkedIn is phasing out hashtags. You can’t follow new hashtags anymore. Legacy followers may still see when you use a hashtag they follow, and searches will uncover legacy hashtags. So there is still value in using them - for now.

P.S. You can work with me in the following ways:

  • LinkedIn in 8 Coaching and Training  in 60 days

  • Full-Spectrum 1:1 Business Development Coaching and Consulting in 90 Days

  • Law Firm Business Development Strategy
