Don’t Buy Another Conference Outfit Without a Strategy

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the 15th edition of Short & Sweet, a weekly newsletter where I provide brief tips for attorneys to build their brand and book of business, on and off of LinkedIn. Read until the end to see my LinkedIn tip of the week.

I’m thrilled to report that Melanie Lippman is joining the Own the Conference prep program I’m running for INTA 2025 in San Diego.

Melanie Lippman is an Image Coach, Stylist, and Personal Branding Expert who helps attorneys elevate their professional presence with confidence and authenticity by creating wardrobes that reflect their expertise, build trust, and command respect. With over 18 years of experience, Melanie has partnered with top law firms, lawyers, and legal teams.

If you register for the Own the Conference program by Monday, February 24, you can join a free bonus session led by Melanie where she will cover:

  • What to pack to stay polished, professional, confident, and stress-free.

  • How to build a conference wardrobe that fits into a carry-on.

  • Key outfit formulas for networking events, panels, client dinners, and more.

  • The answers to your burning conference style questions.

The LinkedIn Live that we did this week touched on these topics and on the Own the Conference program. The recording is available here

Conferences aren’t just about showing up. They’re about showing up with a plan that ensures you stand out, connect with the right people, and leave with more than just a stack of business cards.

That’s why I created the Own the Conference group prep program to tackle the INTA Annual Meeting with a targeted strategy. We start on February 26

The program is almost full. We have IP attorneys joining us from all over the world, including Australia, the UK, Poland, and the U.S.

Reserve your spot and register today.

Warmest Regards and see you next week,

Jamie

LinkedIn Tip of The Week:

It’s been the norm in terms of the algorithm to post in the morning your time or in the time zone of your target audience. There has been chatter lately about having the same amount of views, or even more, if you post at other times of the day. The benefit of doing this is you reach a different audience and you’re not posting at the same time as everyone else. If your routine is to prepare posts in the morning and you want to experiment with posting at a different time of day, write your post in the morning and schedule it for later in the day. Just make sure you are around at that time so you can engage with comments.

P.S. You can work with me in the following ways:

  • 1:1 Linkedin in 8 Coaching and Training

  • Full-Spectrum 1:1 Business Development Coaching and Consulting

  • Full-Spectrum Law Firm Business Development Strategy and Fractional Services

  • 1:1 Conference Prep

  • Human Design Readings
