No Time? Take Your Business Development Online
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the 38th edition of Short & Sweet, a weekly newsletter where I provide brief tips for attorneys to build their brand and book of business, on and off of LinkedIn. Read until the end to see my LinkedIn tip of the week.
I know you’re buried in client work, meeting billable hours, tackling administrative tasks, and struggling to grow a book of business in between by using an age-old strategy created by someone else:
🚫 Go to multiple networking events per week and have coffee chats, and
🚫 be on boards, and
🚫 go to conferences and
🚫 be on panels, and
🚫 write articles.
These activities are great in moderation if they fit in your strategic plan and schedule, but there’s also an easier way.
I created LinkedIn in 8 to help attorneys change the story around business development.
When I wiped multiple weekly networking meetings and coffee chats from my calendar and invested time in LinkedIn as an IP attorney, I grew my visibility there by 800%.
Significant revenue, referrals, and client engagements followed.
I teach the same method to attorneys who want to grow their practice and revenue without burning out.
In 8 weeks you will learn how to:
✅ Develop a strategy that emphasizes your particular strengths, interests, ideal clients, and referral partners.
✅ Grow an aligned network.
✅ Write thought provoking content that drives engagement and keeps you top of mind.
✅ Become the go-to attorney in your area of law.
✅ Manage your time so LinkedIn fits into your day.
💫 And I’ll create a captivating LinkedIn profile for you.
This will result in increased opportunities to speak and collaborate, and more clients and referrals.
If you’re ready to work smarter not harder to develop a book of business and increase your visibility
Warmest Regards and see you next week,
Jamie
LinkedIn Tip of The Week:
What’s one thing you can do every day that increases your visibility and fits into your schedule? Comment substantively on three LinkedIn posts. Make sure to highlight your practice area in your comments where appropriate. Ask questions that drive the discussion. And, if you’re the first to comment on a post, your comment is likely to have the most views. LinkedIn now provides stats on comment views.
